Walking that fine line between the technical and the creative is not an easy task. Neither is dancing along the divide between the mundane and the ineffable. As a writer, tutor, and therapist in training, I rely heavily on both sides of the brain to absorb all those minute details without losing sight of the big picture. Bringing equal parts of dedication, concentration, and inspiration is what sets me apart from the crowd.

As a second year graduate student pursuing a Masters in Counseling Psychology, I have refined my attentive listening ability and developed the skills necessary to work with a wide variety of individuals. My coursework in Child Therapy, Family Dynamics, Group Dynamics, and Cross-Cultural Counseling have been especially valuable to my growth.

Graduating from UC Berkeley in 2006 with two Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Comparative Literature left me equipped to tackle the most rigorous of professional challenges. I spent the following three years at Onstream Media, a trailblazer in the world of digital asset management. There I wrote the online copy for some of the biggest names in the business, including AOL, PBS, C-SPAN, and The Discovery Channel. I have also spent two years as a music journalist for Buzzine, the culture and entertainment magazine run by Richard Elfman. Grammy Award-nominated Junkie XL and Juno Award-winning songstress LIGHTS are among the musicians I have interviewed, and I have covered events ranging from San Francisco's Noise Pop, to High Sierra Music Festival and Burning Man.
